Outside the BOX: Brand Development believes that a company’s brand is extremely important to its future success. A brand is more than a symbol of your company. It’s the embodiment of your company’s values, goals, beliefs, history, leadership and purpose. A brand extends past a logo and encompasses every aspect of your company. It influences your customers, supports products and services, builds credibility and creates the atmosphere and the environment your employees work within. Your brand holds the very essence and value of your company and deserves to be created with this understanding. At Outside the BOX: Brand Development we understand the importance of a professionally created brand and all the details it needs to grow and thrive in todays evolving business environment.
Building a Brand
Our Design Process
Client Discovery Session
Outside the BOX: Brand Development begins all projects with a discovery session. This meeting explores the client's company, their goals, their value, their market & industry position and the project they are coming to us to create or expand. We want to define and identify their unique characteristics and how Outside the BOX: Brand Development can best present those benefits to the client's customers or clients.
After gathering all the information and data from our client, Outside the BOX: Brand Development begins the process of evaluating the client's existing marketing and brand strategy. We look for solutions to enhance, improve or create to meet the client's goals and vision. This portion of brand development consists of thinking creatively and strategically at both the brand assets the client has available and what tools/assets Outside the BOX: Brand Development needs to create to deliver the results the client wants. This stage looks at the company's brand as a whole and then the individual marketing, promotional, advertising, digital and print assets and their roll, and purpose, within the brand.
Design the Solution
This is the stage where Outside the BOX: Brand Development begins using our creative skills and experience for our clients. We take all the information the client has given us and combine it with our analysis of their brand. Here we create the tools and media assets our client will use to meet their goals. We explore all forms of media (print, digital, social media, web, radio and video) to convey our client's message and begin building the creative team that will produce the forms of media identified during our analysis stage.
After creating a client's promotional, marketing and advertising assets, there is a period you must take to plan how your are going to release them into the world. Will you create a two week, suspense filled, teaser buildup to the release or will you have to deal with logistics and training of the new materials? Releasing the new brand into the public domain is a major part of brand development and it deserves the time and effort to increase customer / client awareness. The task is when the BIG event arrives, everyone knows about it and the transition runs smoothly. News releases, marketing materials, social platforms, websites and advertising need to be organized to have a simultaneous reveal of the new brand to both staff and customers so it can drive interest, and awareness, to make the most of the opportunity.
This stage of the development process revolves around making sure all assets are in place for the reveal of the new brand. Is your website completed and up-to-date? Is your social media platforms ready to be switched over to the new look and message? Have your teasers been successful in promoting the announcement? Are your customers and staff excited about the new brand? Has the news media been contacted? All these questions, and much more, come into play on the week everything changes. The launch of your new brand is a big deal and should create excitement and energy for your company. Outside the BOX: Brand Development understands what needs to happen for your brand and we look after the details so you can enjoy the excitement of the day.
Managing Brand Assets
Your new brand has been announced to the world and the celebration begins. From here on out your company is on automatic. Unfortunately not. No matter how good the planning is for your company's brand, there is always more to do. After your brand is released into the world, you have to look at monitoring its results and make changes were needed. This means you need to put in place a means to gather customer feedback, measure brand performance, review customer touch-points and make adjustments to all media. A process needs to be put in place to monitor and review your brand to maintain effectiveness and consistency while looking for new opportunities to grow and expand your brand into new markets and industries. Brand development never stops being top of mind. To be a leader in your industry, your brand has to be flexible and be able to take advantage of the opportunities that appear for your company.
